Historical Stories of Survival Pompeii is a terrific curriculum.  It can stand alone, or be used to incorporate literature, art, geography, and history into what you’re already doing. The entire unit is laid out in an easy to follow format and from there you have the option to customize it for your children. With four kids and different learning styles, it was wonderful to have options to suit each style. And not only does it incorporate the learning styles, but it is also friendly to different teaching styles. The value of a curriculum that is able to flex with our family is a huge plus!

It took me about thirty minutes to read through the program, print off what I wanted, and select the books we needed- all of which were found at our local library. A big thumbs-up for not having to purchase more books! The recommended books we selected were terrific. Both my kids (5th grade girls and 3rd grade boy) enjoyed them. I appreciate that the author notes the content of the books, and if there is anything the parent should know about, like a scary scene or a ‘millions of years’ reference. The curriculum works equally well for secular and Christian families-there is no bent either way. My kiddos and I highly recommend this curriculum. My kids really enjoyed learning about Pompeii!
